Hello World! 🌟 I’m Shubham Agarwal, and I’m really excited to kick off my one-person AI venture. My focus is on delivering research-driven solutions through open-source models and SaaS products for practical use cases. This idea is heavily inspired by Jeremy Howard's AI R&D lab, Answer.ai
Why one-person?
I believe that true dedication and focus come from working independently. It lets me put all my energy and creativity into research and swiftly develop effective solutions. As Sam Altman said, “I think there will be a one-person, billion-dollar company soon.” While I’m not focused on valuation, working solo helps me stay agile and authentic - and yes, it’s nice to make some decent money too! 😄 Ultimately, my goal is to build solutions that genuinely enhance user experiences.
What you can expect?
I’m still figuring out exactly what I’ll be working on. I don’t have a PhD or the compute resources to train foundation models, but I’m excited about effectively leveraging the models that are already out there. With Hugging Face recently crossing 1,000,000 public models, I believe there’s a lot of potential to explore and uncover. Link to the LinkedIn post.
